Where Neighbors Become Friends
Welcome to Georgetown!
Hi, I am Ann Mayberry the President of Georgetown Newcomers and Friends. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of you to this wonderful organization. If you are new to Georgetown, or have lived in the area for some time, we would love for you to join us at our monthly meetings. You will meet some wonderful people who belong to Georgetown Newcomers and Friends.
My motto for this year is "Friendships Leave Footprints on Your Heart" and I truly believe as we go through this life that one will meet friends who truly leave their footprints on your heart. I know you will find some of these people in our Newcomers and Friends organization.
We have some great programs, socials and day trips organized for our year. We also have many Special Interest Groups (SIGS) which offer cooking adventures, recipe groups, wine groups, book clubs, walking groups and just about anything you might have an interest in. If you do not see a group that suits your fancy, you are more than welcome to suggest one. I invite you to come to a meeting, make new friends, enjoy our programs, activities and interest groups.
We meet the first Thursday of each month at Berry Creek Country Club, 30500 Berry Creek Drive, Georgetown, Texas. Registration and our social time begins at 9:30am and the meeting starts at 10:00am. After the meeting, we also have our monthly luncheon at various restaurants in the area where you can continue making new friends, as well as connecting with established friends.
